3 Atlanta Falcons most likely to have a breakout season
By Nick Halden
1. Drake London
Whether or not drafting Drake London 8th overall was the right move is highly debatable. However, what isn’t is London’s size and talent at a position Atlanta didn’t have any answers for. If London is able to translate his game to the next level he is going to have a huge year based less on his immense talent and more on the fact there simply isn’t anyone else to throw the ball to at his position. London will be facing high expectations from week one considering he will head into the year as the number one receiver without a clear option behind him.
Bryan Edwards seems the most likely candidate to win the second starting job behind London. However, camp and pre-season will likely be an open competition among a group of unproven receivers.
Drake London if healthy is going to finish the season well over 1,000-yards in his rookie campaign establishing himself as Atlanta’s number one receiver and giving the team a much-needed weapon to pair with tight-end Kyle Pitts.
London will be one of the few exciting stories for an Atlanta team that is likely going to be one of the handful of teams in the race for next year’s number one draft pick.
