6) Jake Matthews – LT

Jake Matthews has seemingly been a pillar of the Atlanta Falcons forever and he is actually the longest-tenured Falcon on the roster following the trade of Matt Ryan.

Matthews is still extremely valuable as he plays one of the most important positions in football. Whichever quarterback ends up starting will be able to trust that they do not have a defensive end charging them at full speed. He continues to be a big piece of this offense.

5) Grady Jarrett – DT

This might seem a little too low for the most consistent defender on the team through the years, but he did have a bit of a down year in 2021. He could end up being much better this year as he will have had more time to learn the new scheme, the Falcons certainly trust that he will as he earned a big extension.

He has shown that he can be a top-three player at his position and he will likely be much higher on this list a year from now.

4) Cordarrelle Patterson – RB

The breakout star for Atlanta in 2021, Cordarrelle Patterson, routinely made plays that just left you amazed. He has some of the best offensive versatility in the league which allows Arthur Smith to do a variety of things with him to mix up the defense. He was so important to the success of the Falcons offense last year, look for that to continue in 2022.
