1) A.J. Terrell – CB

A.J. Terrell ranks out as the top player on the Atlanta Falcons roster. When he was originally drafted many people were highly critical of the selection due to an underwhelming performance in the National Championship, but he has proved those doubters wrong.

He is number one on this list for a variety of reasons, the first being, of course, how incredible he was during his sophomore year in the league, but also throw in the fact that he is playing one of the hardest positions in the NFL, was elite despite not having any sort of pass rush to back him up, and is only getting started in the NFL, you know the Falcons defense has something to build around.

Just think about the fact that Terrell is only 23-years old and will not be 24 until about two weeks after the regular season kicks off. A.J. Terrell and Kyle Pitts will be the two superstars for the Falcons over the next decade.

In his 2021 campaign, he was able to lock down some of the best receivers and was extremely consistent throughout the year. He never even gave up more than 30 yards in a game, some corners give up triple digits in one game.

He is another player that Terry Fontenot needs to start planning ahead for. He will likely demand the largest contract among corners and there is no argument against it, Falcons need to pay him.

Considering all the things that went against him last season, he should be considered the best corner in the world.
