3 USFL players that the Atlanta Falcons should sign
The Falcons should sign CB Channing Stribling from the Philadelphia Stars
Channing Stribling is a guy who has lived in many different places, Atlanta should be his next stop.
Stribling came out of Michigan as an undrafted free agent who signed with the Cleveland Browns in 2017. After the Browns he went to the Colts, the 49ers, the Colts again, the Chargers, the Memphis Express of the now-defunct AAF, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL, the Seattle Dragons of the previous XFL that did not last long, the Tiger-Cats again, and finally the Philadelphia Stars of the USFL.
Stribling in six games has six interceptions and one sack. He has been the definition of a ball hawk.
If the Falcons bring him in he could compete for a reserve role at the cornerback position. Obviously, their top three are set with A.J. Terrell, Casey Hayward, and Isaiah Oliver, but Channing could try and beat out guys like Teez Tabor and Darren Hall.
Outside of the team’s top three corners, their depth at the position is really concerning. If one of the top guys gets hurt it could be trouble for the secondary, perhaps Channing Stribling could be a hidden gem.
