The Atlanta Falcons franchise has had its share of tough moments. It is a franchise that has continually put its fans through the wringer with sickening collapses following the team ever since their infamous Super Bowl collapse. Despite the team’s rough history, there is a reason for optimism surrounding the team heading into the next off-season.

The front office has created cap space the team hasn’t had in years and given the team great young pieces to build around. This season will be all about finding out who are the winning players on this roster and what Atlanta needs to take that next step in the 2023 season.

Atlanta hopes Desmond Ridder proves to be the long-term answer at quarterback allowing them to build a great roster around the third-round pick.

With a year left before Atlanta moves into contention mode, however, the Falcons are still in for a year of misery. The roster has talent and at times will be fun to watch this season but not enough talent to consistently translate to wins.

This is a rebuilding season that could include three familiar faces the Falcons are more than ready to see permanently retire from the league.
