Not all players excel with the team that drafted them and the Falcons certainly have an example of that

The Atlanta Falcons do not have the history of the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Green Bay Packers, but that does not mean they have not had all-time great players, especially in recent memory.

The best years for the team have come in recent memory due to the play of a couple of players who will certainly be on this list, and while that era may be over now, they still left a huge impact on the franchise.

There is even one player from a few decades ago who did practically nothing for the organization but still went on to become one of the best players the NFL has seen. That is the point of this list, it is not to say who the five best players in franchise history are but instead the greatest players in league history who happened to be drafted by the Falcons.

The good thing for the Falcons is that they do not have very many players who went on to become all-time greats with another team without doing anything for Atlanta.
