1. Takk McKinley

Despite their need to add pass rushers, it would be shocking if the Falcons reunited with their former first-round pick. McKinley was the 26th overall pick for the Falcons in the 2017 draft and was one of the team’s bigger misses in recent memory. Despite the fact he hasn’t lived up to expectations McKinley has developed into a solid rotational edge rusher who will be given a chance with another team.

McKinley has totaled 20.0-sacks in his five-year career with the majority of that time being spent in Atlanta.  McKinley’s time with Atlanta is going to be remembered both for the lack of production and his off-the-field comments on Atlanta.

While his trade demands were never met Atlanta quickly cut Takk after his trade comments and McKinley spent the next season with the Browns.  As badly as Atlanta needs rotational edge rushers a reunion with Takk isn’t going to happen. The way he handled his exit in Atlanta after failing to live up to his talent level didn’t make him a popular player among Atlanta fans. McKinley is likely going to get another shot in the league but simply put that shot isn’t going to happen in Atlanta.
