2. Robert Alford

Robert Alford has had a rough time since leaving the Atlanta Falcons missing two seasons and playing in a limited role with the Cardinals last season.  Robert Alford was a fun and yet infuriating player to watch during his time in Atlanta. He was a good corner who often found a way to make a great play. Far too often that great play was wiped away by a penalty the corner has committed beforehand.

Despite how it ended Atlanta fans will always have a place in their heart for Alford, however, remembering his interception and house call against Tom Brady in the Super Bowl. Coming off of three injury-plagued years it is fair to wonder if Alford can still play a contributing role for a team?

The Falcons aren’t a fit for Alford with younger players needing time at the position and A.J. Terrell, Isaiah Oliver, and Casey Hayward locked in as the starters. Alford needs a contending team looking for a depth piece in the secondary. A reunion with the Cardinals or joining the Chiefs or Bucs as a depth piece are all potential fits that jump out for Alford.

As many fun moments as there were during Alford’s time in Atlanta, the Falcons are turning the page of the old regime and a reunion with Alford doesn’t fit the roster they are building.
