Four Atlanta Falcons entering a make-or-break year in 2022

There are those Falcons players who are under more pressure than the others

It is a sentence you hear about NFL players and coaches all the time, “[this player/coach] is entering a make-or-break year,” and while it might be cliché, it still does apply to some players, even a select few on the Atlanta Falcons.

So, what are some things that have to happen for a player to have a make-or-break season?

The first thing is that they have to have been in the league for at least a few years as it takes time for players to get going in the NFL. Rookies generally are not expected to perform at the highest level and are given time to develop.

The second thing is that the player needs to have competition around him, after all, you usually won’t lose your job if there is no one there to take over for you.

And then there are some other things that could factor in like if that player has seen a decline in play recently, if they had high expectations from the beginning and have not shown they can perform consistently, and finally, they could just be running out of opportunities.

Of course, that is not everything that could play in but you get the idea. Here are four players who need to perform in 2022 for the Atlanta Falcons:
