  • 2012: Peter Konz – C – Round 1, Pick 55

  • 2013: Malliciah Goodman – DE – Round 4, Pick 127

  • 2014: Ra’Shede Hageman – DT – Round 2, Pick 37

  • 2015: Vic Beasley – OLB – Round 1, Pick 8

With Thomas Dimitroff as the Falcons’ general manager, the team could seemingly never draft quality linemen—both on offense and defense.

You have a couple of pass rushers out of Clemson, a defensive tackle who could not keep his nose clean or garner any type of consistency, and then a center who was supposed to take over for Todd McClure but got released before his fourth season with the Falcons. Absolute disaster.

Speaking of disaster, that does not do the Falcons’ 2012 draft class justice. Not one of the team’s six draft picks played in more than 39 games, although they did not have a first-round pick due to the Julio Jones trade the year prior.

Malliciah Goodman and Ra’Shede Hageman were both very talented but their inconsistent play ended up costing them their careers in the NFL

While Vic Beasley did lead the NFL in sacks in 2016, I think we can all agree that he was a disappointment. Many might believe that Jalen Collins was the bust of the draft but Beasley was a top ten pick which gives him the edge.

If there is one silver lining to these four years, it is that the Falcons managed to get Jake Matthews and Grady Jarrett who are the two longest-tenured players on the team and they continue to play at a high level.
