5 Atlanta Falcons you should draft on your fantasy team this season
By Nick Halden
4. Calvin Ridley
Obviously, Calvin Ridley was a huge fantasy bust last season and will not be making an impact for any fantasy team this season. If you’re not part of an ongoing league that will carry over to next season this suggestion should obviously be ignored. Calvin Ridley’s future is in question with the receiver first stepping away from football before being suspended for a full season due to gambling on the league he plays in.
There isn’t any questioning this is the lowest value Calvin Ridley has had in fantasy since he was drafted by the Falcons. If you’re drafting a league whose roster carries over or are already a part of one now is the time to draft or trade for Ridley.
With his value at an all-time low, it is a chance to draft or trade for a great second receiver. The most likely scenario seems to be Ridley will be traded next off-season to a team looking for a number one option. The Falcons have seemingly turned the page and are waiting until they are able to trade Ridley in the final year of his deal next season.
Despite the concerns of last season, Ridley is still a great stash option and a player capable of putting up number one receiver numbers.
