The Atlanta Falcons are into their final month without live-action as the team gears up for camp at pre-season.  Outside of adding a punter, the Atlanta Falcons have gone quiet in free agency despite having positions to improve and plenty of cap space to make late veteran additions. The one position Atlanta could add to would be at the receiver position.

Atlanta has done a great job adding depth at the receiver position but still lacks one clear receiver they can count on. The Falcons added Drake London in the draft and Bryan Edwards in the trade market but both players will be expected to be the top options.

Having a third veteran receiver for Marcus Mariota and the young receivers to lean one would be a great addition. The biggest question for Atlanta is who left in free agency is the best fit for the team?

Julio Jones would be the obvious answer, however, it seems likely that Julio will pick a contending team in an effort to find the one thing his resume lacks. Atlanta should offer Jones a contract but it would be very surprising if the receiver returns to Atlanta a little over a year after demanding his way out.  There are cheaper and options that make far more sense for Atlanta on the market if Julio is unwilling to return to the Falcons.
