2. T.Y. Hilton

T.Y. Hilton is a much different story than Beasley becoming the Colts’ number one option in the Andrew Luck era and giving the team plenty of memorable highlights. The fact Hilton is still sitting in free agency seems to suggest for the first time in his career he may be searching for a new team.

Hilton was a productive receiver as recently as the 2020 season despite dealing with a number of injuries and constant changes at the quarterback position. T.Y. would help to bring the one trait the Atlanta receiver room is obviously missing as well giving the team a speedy option who can get behind a defense.

The one obvious concern here is Hilton’s injury history the receiver hasn’t played a full season since 2017 missing games every season since.  However, Atlanta wouldn’t need Hilton to fill the role he has been asked to fill in Indy. Instead, they simply need the veteran to play limited snaps and help their young receivers, and to give Atlanta a veteran they can rely on during key sequences.

Of the options left in free agency, Hilton makes the most sense and could give the Falcons a trade asset at the deadline if T.Y. bounces back.
