Three reasons why Falcons receiver’s claim isn’t crazy

Reason One: Any Given Sunday

Okay, let’s attack the low-hanging fruit reason of Zaccheaus’ claim. From the beginning of the NFL’s history, if there’s one thing fans should never do, it’s count out a team simply because the matchup is vastly favoring their opposition. We’ve all heard the story of David and Goliath, so there’s really no reason for a history refresher.

That said, in relation to Zaccheaus, the moniker of David and Goliath actually falls into a football category. A category which, on a plethora of occasions, has actually gone in the favor of the Falcons:

“Any. Given. Sunday.”

Yes, we’re bringing this quote into the foray because if February 2017 taught us anything, it’s that until the clock strikes 00:00, then even the craziest stuff could transpire where the Falcons could end up in a more competitive game than anyone anticipated.

Now, is this to insinuate that the Falcons are going to defeat the Super Bowl champion Rams or the division favorite Buccaneers? Not even close, but it’s nice that some hold out hope on that front.
