Atlanta Falcons: Three players to replace retired Eddie Goldman
Brandon Williams
This is probably the most likely option for the Atlanta Falcons. Brandon Williams and Dean Pees have worked with each other during Pees’ tenure with the Baltimore Ravens.
You saw how Ryan Pace brought in Eddie Goldman, so certainly Dean Pees could bring in the veteran nose tackle.
Unlike Suh, Williams has never been a dominant force as a pass rusher, so he more closely resembles Goldman. What Williams has thrived at is run defense, he has been one of the most unblockable guys in the run game for a long time.
He was a leader for the Ravens’ defense for nine years and is now looking for a new team. While he is not quite as dominant as he used to be, he is still one of the most technically refined run stuffer and is a huge body at six-foot-one and 336 pounds.
If Atlanta brings him in and reunites him with Dean Pees, then it will allow Grady Jarrett to focus more on his pass rush.
Brandon Williams seems like the most logical choice to replace the newly retired Falcons player.
