Week 5: Atlanta Falcons @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers on October 9th

The Atlanta Falcons lost their fourth consecutive game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season, which was to be expected. In 2020 after that Deion Jones pick-six in overtime, who would have ever thought it would be two years and counting until the Falcons beat the Bucs? Crazy how fast things change.

The Falcons have a curse against Tom Brady, they are 0-10 against him, which is pure domination.

Some people think that it was the curse of Matt Ryan against Tom Brady, as he is 0-8 against the current Tampa Bay QB.

We should all hope it was a curse on Matt and not the team because then we might actually win this game.

However, the Buccaneers, as painful as it is to say, totally outmatch the Falcons. They just have better players across the board. Now they have Julio Jones and Russell Gage who will both want to play their best against their former team, it just does not set up well for Arthur Smith’s team.

There is no reason to expect Atlanta to win this game, as the curse is probably on the team and they will fall to 0-11 against Brady, losing their fifth consecutive game against Tampa.

While the Falcons did finish out the first four games at .500, they fall below that against their rivals.

Results: Falcons 20, Buccaneers 37

Record: 2-3
