Week 8: Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons on October 30th

Finally, a winnable game on paper for the Atlanta Falcons. This will be the game where Todd McClure will join the Falcons Ring of Honor, so you cannot lose this game.

In these predictions, Atlanta is on a four-game losing skid and will be so glad to take on a team that is not projected to win very many games.

It is also a team they have really dominated over the past number of years. Since 2015, the Falcons are 10-4 against the Carolina Panthers, including a five-game winning streak from 2017 to 2019. Ever since that losing streak was broken, these two teams have alternated wins and losses.

But hopefully, this will buck the trend and give them a two-game winning streak against Carolina.

It does not matter whether Sam Darnold or Baker Mayfield is under center for the Panthers, it does not matter if Christian McCaffrey plays in this game or is injured once again, the Falcons can beat this team, and they need to if they want to have any shot at making a run for the postseason.

The two games against the Panthers are certainly two of the more winnable games for the Falcons

Marcus Mariota will lead them to a victory over Matt Rhule’s Panthers, snapping their predicted four-game losing streak.

Results: Panthers 24, Falcons 30

Record: 3-5
