1. Grady Jarrett

Grady Jarrett has earned his place on this list every season for the Atlanta Falcons and outside of Matt Ryan has an argument as one of the most underappreciated Falcons of the last decade. Jarrett has an elite ability to disrupt plays as an inside lineman. Unfortunately for Jarrett the stats rarely speak to his impact over the last three seasons due to just how much attention opposing offensive lines are able to give him.

The Atlanta defensive line has struggled over the last three years to the point opposing offensive lines can often double team Jarrett with ease allowing everyone else to win their one on ones across the board.

Opposing offenses know what the Falcons do Grady Jarrett has been the only player in the trenches for Atlanta capable of making a big play with any consistency. This has led teams to focus their protection schemes on Jarrett and leave the defensive lineman with next to no help. Jarrett doesn’t need great players around him to be successful simply capable contributors something Atlanta has had difficulty finding when it comes to lineman and pass rushers in particular.

Don’t let the lack of statistical success fool you turn on the tape and watch Grady Jarrett over the last three seasons. Jarrett deserves more respect for the career he has put together with a team that has rarely set him up for success.
