Heading into the year it isn’t hard to pinpoint who will be the most impactful players for the Atlanta Falcons the players the team cannot afford to suffer an injury despite a rebuilding year. The one position Atlanta did a great job of addressing is the receiver room. Last season was a mess from week one with Julio Jones leaving the team to join the Titans.

Calvin Ridley was a shell of himself before leaving the team altogether to focus on his health. The move was followed by Atlanta’s attempts to make Russell Gage, Tajae Sharpe, Christian Blake, and Olamide Zaccheaus impact receivers. Outside of Gage, every Atlanta receiver struggled and Ryan was left without any clear answers.

This off-season Atlanta learned from their mistake and brought in a myriad of options through free agency, the draft, and trades. The receiver position is one of the few positions Atlanta can suffer an injury and recover.

No matter who Atlanta chooses at the position for the final 53-man roster it will be a far better group than Atlanta ended the year with last season.

With this in mind, let’s take a look at three positions the Atlanta Falcons cannot afford to suffer an injury at this season.
