One of the more exciting aspects of the Atlanta Falcons rebuild is the fact that nearly every roster spot is up for grabs. This opens up competition and allows unexpected contributors to earn opportunities they wouldn’t with other organizations.

It is a chance for Atlanta to attempt to find overlooked prospects and free agents and give them a chance. Cordarrelle Patterson and Feleipe Franks are two examples from last season with opposite levels of success.

Patterson started the season as the backup to Mike Davis before taking over the starting job as well as lining up in a variety of positions.

Franks was supposed to be a utility player for the Falcons as well but failed to give Atlanta any reason to continue to put him in the game plan every week. In limited chances he underwhelmed and by season’s end was taking reps behind Josh Rosen.

This to say while it doesn’t always work out in their favor this Atlanta front office has proven they aren’t shy when it comes to making moves or giving players an opportunity. With this in mind, there are four Atlanta Falcons in particular who should be concerned about keeping their starting roles this season.
