1. J.J. Watt

J.J. Watt has one more season left with Arizona before hitting free agency and if he manages to stay healthy for a full season he should be near the top of Atlanta’s off-season targets. Watt is no longer the beast he was with Houston that dominated opposing offensive lines getting to the quarterback consistently.

At this point in his career Watt is a lockerroom presence who can lead your defense while still having a big impact on the defensive line. After Watt left the Cardinals due to injury their defensive line wasn’t nearly the same unit when it came to stopping the run or dialing up consistent pressure.

There was a noticeable difference pointing to the fact that even at this point in his career Watt can have a big impact on a team. There is the obvious injury concern and it is important to note here that Watt should only be a target for the Falcons if he can make it through the majority of the season healthy. Injuries have plagued Watt and if that trend continues Atlanta shouldn’t take what will already be a large risk. In only seven games last season Watt still managed to finish the season with 10-quarterback hits still pointing to the fact he can still get it done.
