3. Marcus Peters

It would be surprising if the Baltimore Ravens let Marcus Peters walk out the door considering what he has meant to that defense. He is a top corner who at thirty is still more than capable of making plays and shutting down the league’s most explosive receivers on any given Sunday.

Atlanta did a great job bringing in veteran Casey Hayward this off-season to slot in alongside A.J. Terrell. However, there is no denying that Peters would be a clear upgrade and give Atlanta one of the best cornerback tandems in the league.

The problem for the Atlanta Falcons has long been their lack of ability to play defense on any consistent level. Even in 2016 on their run to the Super Bowl it was on the back of the offense with a young defensive core hustling and making plays down the stretch. They were the compliment to a dominant offense.

For Atlanta to change the narrative surrounding their team and culture they need to build a respectable defense. The combination of Peters and Terrell would be a huge step in that direction two shutdown corners that would make life miserable for quarterbacks. Marcus Peters to Atlanta is unlikely but a deal the Falcons should at least explore this off-season.
