Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Bucs added a number of former Atlanta Falcons players this off-season after Brady’s odd short-lived retirement. Tom Brady retired after the Bucs season ended in the playoffs against the Rams only to return less than two months later ahead of the first wave of free agency.

Though it is complete speculation the prevailing theory seems to be that Brady was never going to retire but was going to force his way to the Dolphins alongside Sean Payton. Brian Flores launching his lawsuit changed all of this and Brady ultimately decided to return to the team for the final year of his contract.

While there hasn’t been anything concrete to prove this off-season theory it certainly is odd neither Brady nor Payton has issued a strong denial. It seems likely the quarterback wanted out of Tampa and is headed into what will be his final season in the Atlanta Falcons division.

Somehow Brady has managed to find a way to make his continued dominance over Atlanta all the more painful with his team adding four notable former Atlanta Falcons this off-season. While they may not have fit into the Atlanta Falcons’ current plans that doesn’t mean it will be any easier watching them suit up alongside Brady.
