Atlanta Falcons: 3 Realistic goals in year two for Kyle Pitts
By Nick Halden
3. Finish the season with 1,300-receiving yards
At first glance, this number might seem a bit lofty even for Pitts, however, when you consider the offense around him this number is achievable. Kyle finished his first season with over 1,000 receiving yards as the clear number one receiver.
Now he will have the benefit of a year in the offense as well as the additions of Drake London and Bryan Edwards to help take some of the pressure off. This will be more than enough for him to take the next step forward and put together a great season. He will be Mariota’s number one option barring a huge rookie season from London and even then will be more than capable of sailing past the 1,000-yard marker.
Defenses will no longer have the advantage of being able to freely put their best defender on Pitts either with the additions at receiver. Pitts will be facing less pressure on every snap and have the ability to break more plays throughout the season helping him reach what should be a very achievable number.
