4) #80 Stanley Berryhill – Wide Receiver – Arizona

Let’s start with the most important thing first, how could you not want a guy named Stanley Berryhill lining up on the Falcons’ offense every Sunday? That is an elite name.

Anyways, on a more serious note, Stanley Berryhill should change his position to ‘playmaker’ because it is exactly what he is. If you haven’t watched his college highlights, you need to, they may not be 20 minutes long but he put some incredible moves on defenders, especially on a third and long against Utah.

He is listed at five-foot-nine, 180 pounds, so he is no Drake London but he is quick as heck in the open field.

His college stats will not blow you away but he had a very solid final year at Arizona as he totaled 885 scrimmage yards. He had 774 receiving yards on 83 catches as well as 121 rushing yards on just 19 attempts. He averaged over six yards per carry.

So, not only can he catch the ball, but he also has the skill set to take handoffs and even racked up some yards as a punt and kick returner.

If you have been keeping an eye on Damiere Byrd as a potential member of the final 53-man roster, you should also watch out for Berryhill. They have very similar skill sets. It seems like there could possibly be an intense preseason battle between Berryhill and Byrd.

Although, wide receiver is a crowded position for Atlanta as they have guys like Auden Tate, Frank Darby, Geronimo Allison, KhaDarel Hodge, and the aforementioned Damiere Byrd who are all fighting for a roster spot behind Drake London, Bryan Edwards, and Olamide Zaccheaus.

There isn’t even a guarantee that they plan on keeping around a player with Byrd or Berryhill’s skill set.

At the very least, watch out for him to be a member of the Falcons’ practice squad in hopes of developing him into a playmaker for this already versatile offense.
