The Atlanta Falcons could end up cutting defensive tackle Marlon Davidson

Oh boy, Marlon Davidson, he has been a disappointment thus far with the Atlanta Falcons. Last year he made an amazing play by intercepting Tom Brady and taking it for six, but I bet you cannot recall another play he has made during his NFL career…..

He has the talent, there is no doubt about it. When he was at Auburn he was a menace. He would line up at every position and dominate for the most part, but the NFL has been a different story.

To make matters worse, he just had a knee scope and at the very least, is out for the rest of the preseason, that won’t help his chances. There has been a little bit of talk about him potentially being released but the big issue is that there is no one else that has the potential he has.

This regime has no loyalty towards him, it won’t hurt their pride to release him so early in his career if they feel like other guys give them a better chance to win each week.

You would hate to see him go because it would be yet another blown draft pick by the Falcons. Everyone is holding out hope that he can still break out and become at least a solid player next to Grady Jarrett. Do I think he will end up being released? Not necessarily, but if other guys at his position impress the coaches, then they would not hesitate to let Davidson go.

Last year might have been his time to shine, which did not happen in the slightest.
