The Atlanta Falcons rookies should make big contributions starting from snap one
The Atlanta Falcons have received positive reviews for the players they drafted and how they managed the draft as a whole just a few months ago.
This is going to be the most crucial draft class for the Falcons’ general manager, Terry Fontenot, who is in his second year with the team. This class must step up in a big way for Fontenot to keep his job over the long run.
This really feels like the pivot year for the franchise after they lost two of the best players in their history over the past year or so — those obviously being Julio Jones and Matt Ryan.
They hope they got their next Julio Jones by taking Drake London in the first round and they also hope they got their next Matt Ryan in the third round with Desmond Ridder.
London and Ridder are not the only rookies they have high hopes for either. They had a lot of picks and they took some amazing talents with those picks. Big things are to come for these guys in the coming years.
