Fortnite and the NFL are taking their partnership to the next level this week ahead of the NFL season with NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes getting his own Fortnite skin. In seasons past the game has released generic NFL skins with all team logos and number combinations available.

Patrick Mahomes getting his own skin is following in the footsteps of NBA superstar LeBron James who had his own Lakers and Tune squad-themed skins in the game earlier this year.

Mahomes might not be the only NFL superstar headed to Fortnite, however, with rumors suggesting that Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, and Josh Allen could be following close behind. This leaves the possibility that this season every NFL team could be represented in the game by more than just a logo and jersey number.

If the Atlanta Falcons were to get a skin in the game who deserves the spot for Atlanta? On Atlanta’s rebuilding roster the only answer for the team is superstar tight end, Kyle Pitts. Pitts is obviously the only Atlanta star right now and would fit well in the game. His superhero frame fits Fortnite and would be a great representative for the Falcons.

It is important to note here that Fortnite hasn’t announced any NFL partnerships this season aside from the Patrick Mahomes. Still, for a game that has managed partnerships with Dwayne Johnson, LeBron James, Ninja, and a myriad of superstars it would be surprising if Mahomes is the last NFL skin we see added ahead of the NFL season.

If Fortnite doesn’t add a representative from every team, Dak Prescott, Tom Brady, and Aaron Rodgers would be the most obvious blockbuster additions. While Josh Allen deserves a spot in that conversation Fortnite knows what the NFL does the Cowboys are box office.

Certainly, something NFL and Fortnite fans should be keeping a close eye on as the NFL season gets ready to kick off.
