The Atlanta Falcons previous matchup with each 2022 opponent
The Atlanta Falcons play the Cleveland Browns in week 4 of the 2022 NFL season
Previous matchup: November 11, 2018 – Cleveland 28, Atlanta 16
The Falcons got torched by their now division rival quarterback Baker Mayfield.
Mayfield threw the ball 20 times, completing 17 passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns. Wonderful, another game where the Falcons allowed the opposing quarterback to throw as many touchdowns as incompletions.
Nick Chubb was the real villain in this game as he broke off a 92-yard touchdown run and totaled 176 rushing yards overall on 20 carries, resulting in an average of 8.8 yards per carry.
The Browns leading receiver was Antonio Callaway with only 38 yards, while Julio Jones went for 107 yards.
It was an embarrassing loss that snapped Cleveland’s four-game losing streak.
The Atlanta Falcons play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in weeks 5 and 18 of the 2022 NFL season
Previous matchup: December 5, 2021 – Tampa Bay 30, Atlanta 17
You can probably remember this Falcons game pretty well considering it was not too long ago.
Marlon Davidson accounted for seven of the Falcons’ points by way of a pick-six off of Tom Brady, which is the only highlight in Davidson’s career.
Brady threw for 368 yards and four touchdowns and Chris Godwin caught 15 passes for 143 yards. The Buccaneers just continued to roll through the Falcons with Tom Brady as their quarterback, too bad we have to see that two more times this year after thinking he had retired for a moment.
The Atlanta Falcons play the San Francisco 49ers in week 6 of the 2022 NFL season
Previous matchup: December 19, 2021 – San Francisco 31, Atlanta 13
Another Falcons game you can probably recall from your memory pretty vividly.
It started out with the Falcons kicking the ball off to the 49ers who then fumbled the ball giving the Falcons’ offense great field position, unfortunately, they did absolutely nothing with it as they stalled on fourth down at the goal line.
The Falcons’ leading rusher was Mike Davis with a whopping 21 yards, while the 49ers got 110 yards from Jeff Wilson. Nick Bosa and Arden Key both sacked Matt Ryan once as the 49ers’ defense dominated.
