The Atlanta Falcons rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder has put on a show during his first two preseason games, there is no other way to describe it.

The poise he has shown during his first two games in the NFL is remarkable, he looks like he has been playing for ten years. It seriously looks like the Falcons have a superstar in the making, and that becomes evident when you watch one of his throws from Monday night against the Jets.

The Atlanta Falcons rookie completed a pass that is simply ridiculous, no other way to describe it

We had reason to be excited for the Atlanta Falcons’ future at the quarterback position following their first preseason game, but after the second game, the excitement skyrocketed and this singular play should tell you why.

Watch the first pass in this video, you may have seen it while watching the game live but this camera angle shows just how impossible this throw was.

That is seriously one of the greatest throws. The accuracy and anticipation you have to have to make that throw is insane, not to mention the fearlessness.

He takes the term ‘threading the needle’ to new heights. He hit Anthony Firkser right in stride as if he was taking a handoff. If he can routinely make that throw then there is absolutely no defense that can stop him. That is perfect coverage but as we all know, great throws always beat great coverage.

This kid is walking onto the NFL field with the mindset that he is better than anyone, and you got to love it.

Think about how intimidating it would be to step on an NFL field and how easy it would be to overthink every little thing you do during a play, and that throw right there shows you he is just going out there and playing football.

After all, this is the same guy who took an AAC team to the College Football Playoffs last year and is basically the sole reason that Cincinnati is able to move to a bigger conference next year.

The Atlanta Falcons drafted a winner and somebody who is not afraid of any stage. He is going to be a superstar.
