If things do not go right with the Atlanta Falcons QBs in 2022 then they could sign these three quarterback’s during free agency next year

The Atlanta Falcons are in an interesting situation after their decision to move on from their longtime franchise quarterback months ago. They immediately signed veteran Marcus Mariota and followed it up by drafting Desmond Ridder in the third round of the NFL Draft.

Marcus Mariota, barring anything unforeseen, will be the starting signal caller for the Falcons offense to open up the season.

He has experience with Arthur Smith and it will give Desmond Ridder time to develop.

Of course, the team hopes that Ridder is a future star. Sure, they drafted him in the third round but they think his potential is sky high, and they have reason to think that.

Yes, they have high hopes for Marcus Mariota, and the same can be said for Desmond Ridder, but sometimes things do not go as planned, especially at a position as important as quarterback. Let’s say Marcus Mariota is clearly not a starting-level quarterback and the Falcons think Ridder needs another season to develop, then they could look into bringing in a quarterback in free agency during the next offseason.

We are not going to talk about signing Tom Brady for obvious reasons or even Jimmy Garoppolo since he does not fit what Arthur Smith wants to do.

Here are those four quarterbacks the Falcons should sign starting with the least intriguing option all the way up to one guy who might end up becoming a star someday.
