The 10 best players the Atlanta Falcons will play in 2022
The Atlanta Falcons will play TE George Kittle and the 49ers in week 6
Remember when the Atlanta Falcons played the 49ers a few years back and George Kittle pancaked Ricardo Allen and then laughed in his face?
That right there alone should put him on this list, because that was just a nasty block. Kittle is also an incredible receiving threat that can take the football all the way to the endzone at any moment.
He is fast, physical, tough, a great blocker, and a great pass catcher, so basically he is just a complete tight end. It will be a tough challenge for the Falcons’ defense, especially since the 49ers have another elite offensive weapon that happens to be the next player on this list.
The Atlanta Falcons will play WR Deebo Samuel and the 49ers in week 6
The Atlanta Falcons did a really good job slowing down Deebo Samuel when these two teams matched up last season and much of that great work was thanks to A.J. Terrell.
It may be a good match-up for the Falcons, but Deebo Samuel is still talented enough to go off in week six.
Who knows whether the 49ers will still use him in the backfield or not, but he is still an incredible wide receiver. He put up 1,400 yards receiving with six touchdowns, as well as nearly 400 yards rushing and eight rushing touchdowns in 2021.
It does not get much more impressive than that and now that the 49ers paid him, they will count on him even more.
The Atlanta Falcons will play CB Jalen Ramsey and the Rams in week 2
The Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Rams had the two best corners in the league last season with A.J. Terrell and Jalen Ramsey.
The one thing Ramsey has on Terrell is a long track record as he has been an elite cornerback really since he was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2016. He is one of the rare players in the NFL that can talk the talk and walk the walk.
Drake London will have his hands full in week two trying to get free from Jalen Ramsey. You figure this is a game where Bryan Edwards and Olamide Zaccheaus will need to step up because asking a rookie in his second game to beat Jalen Ramsey might be a little too much to ask.
The Atlanta Falcons will play WR Cooper Kupp and the Rams in week 2
I promise this is the last pair of teammates to appear back-to-back on this list, but anyways, Cooper Kupp had an incredible season last year.
This was all he did last year, nothing too special:
- NFL receptions leader
- NFL receiving yards leader
- NFL receiving touchdowns leader
- Pro Bowl
- First-team All-Pro
- NFL Offensive Player of the Year
- Super Bowl MVP
- Super Bowl Champion
Yup, just another casual year for an NFL wide receiver.
In his fifth season in the NFL, he proved why he is the best at his position. In week two, A.J. Terrell will have his hands full, to say the least.
On a quick side note, it is hard to believe that he will be turning 30 years old next June, it feels like his career just started, but he was drafted all the way back in 2017 following a four-year career at Eastern Washington.
