We are finally to the point where we find out what the Atlanta Falcons’ final 53-man roster will look like. To this point, we could only guess how this roster would be constructed. Being such a young team brings an added sense of mystery because there aren’t many of those established veterans that you can confidently say will make the final roster.

Sure, we know guys like Grady Jarrett, A.J. Terrell, Jake Matthews, Marcus Mariota and others will make it but what about the young undrafted free agents? There is room on this team for many of them to stick around and as the 4 pm, ET deadline approaches we will have answers to those questions.

It is a tough day for NFL front offices as they have to call in about 27 players to tell them that they did not make it through final cuts. It often gets lost as to how each of these guys are human beings and they all work extremely hard to be in the position they are in right now.

Even if a player does make the roster, the Falcons have made it crystal clear that they will not hesitate to bring in another player in the future to take that original player’s spot. It is a brutal business.

We have already seen a couple players who were drafted by the current regime get released. While they may be a late-round draft pick, it is still surprising to see. Sometimes draft picks do get overvalued and that becomes clear around this time of the year. Just go look at some other teams like the Patriots who just released two third-round draft picks that they just drafted two years ago, or the Vikings who released a quarterback they took in the third round just a year ago.

Anyways, let’s take a look at who the Atlanta Falcons have released:
