The Atlanta Falcons have locked in their 53-man roster and look ready to head into the season with the roster as currently constructed. While it is unlikely the team makes any moves in the next week there are positions on the roster the team could improve and players that could be cut.

Feleipe Franks and Jalen Mayfield are examples of two players that unsurprisingly made the roster but arguably didn’t deserve their spots. Mayfield put nothing on tape or in camp that gave the team reason to put him on the roster. Franks at least had solid moments as a rusher but made it very obvious he isn’t a quarterback at this level.

The point here being if the Falcons truly evaluate the free agents left on the market there are obvious cuts the team can make to bring in a veteran even at this point. Atlanta might not be a team that is going to contend for a playoff spot, however, they are going to surprise teams this season.

This team isn’t nearly as bad as many pundits believe it to be and adding a key free agent or two could be a huge boost for a unit that has plenty of fringe players who could be cut. With this in mind, let’s take a look at three fits Atlanta should consider.
