2. Bryce Young

There is no questioning Bryce Young’s talent, however, it is fair to question his ceiling when he is already surrounded by NFL-level talent. Young had two of the best receiver prospects in football last season as well as current Washington running back Brian Robinson Jr. his options were elite. Bryce Young is considered one of the top two quarterback prospects heading into the season and a player the Falcons could chase if Mariota struggles and they have questions about Desmond Ridder.

Even if the team believes in Ridder they could opt to stack the deck by bringing in a first or second-round quarterback to compete with Desmond. If Atlanta doesn’t have an answer at quarterback they aren’t returning to contention all options should be on the table next off-season.

Despite the stars around him Young has shown enough of an ability to be considered a potential future franchise quarterback. His ability to make plays out of the pocket along with a willingness to push the ball down the field are certain traits that would make him a fit in Arthur Smith’s offense. He is a player the team should be scouting closely throughout the season.
