Strong assumptions we can make with the structure of the Atlanta Falcons’ final roster
Arthur Smith has stressed how this is not the Atlanta Falcons’ final 53-man roster and they have shown that to be true by making some moves already, but for the most part, we know what this roster will look like on opening day.
It allows us to get a look into the minds of the people who construct this roster, especially Terry Fontenot and Arthur Smith.
Seeing who the team cuts, compared to who they keep gives us clues as to what their opinions are on different things, particularly certain players.
Everyone who followed this team has had things that they have been wondering about ever since the start of the new league year. When your team has 90 players in the offseason and you can only go into the season with 53 of them, it brings up a lot of question marks.
For example, does a team keep around a young player who has great potential to develop, or do they keep their veteran that has proven to be solid? It could tell you whether or not they think their current team can compete, but that is just one example that I think we know the answer to already.
