The Atlanta Falcons will kick off week one against the New Orleans Saints starting a season full of questions.  Both teams have new starting quarterbacks on their second and third stops in Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota. Jameis is an obvious upgrade from the tight-end the Saints attempted to start last season while Mariota is a downgrade from Falcons icon Matt Ryan.

It is worth noting, however, that Mariota does appear to be better suited to run Arthur Smith’s offense and will be able to extend plays Ryan simply couldn’t behind a leaky Atlanta offensive line. While Atlanta will have a chance to pull the upset due to Winston being Jameis Winston it is impossible not to note this game heavily favors the Saints.

For Atlanta Falcons fans looking to distract themselves from the likely loss against the Saints, there are notable week one matchups with implications for Atlanta and that starts tonight in Los Angeles.
