1. Mykal Walker

Not only will this be Walker’s first real chance at starting and manning the middle of the Atlanta Falcons defense, but it will also be his first chance at calling the defense. Walker is going to start the season as the heart of the defense and attempting to fill the role that Foye or Deion Jones have filled over the last three years.

In the limited time that Walker was on the field last season, it seemed great things happened whenever he was given a chance.  Could Atlanta have a diamond in the rough in a player who has been on their bench for the last two years?

While the Atlanta Falcons have reason to feel great about their secondary they have reason to question their linebackers and defensive line. If Walker steps up and plays to the level Dean Pees and the coaching staff believe he can Atlanta is going to hang around in this game and have a chance.

Mykal deserves this shot but like the majority of Atlanta’s roster is an unknown that could drastically swing this team in either direction. A good day for Atlanta’s defensive signal caller bodes well for stopping New Orleans consistently and will keep the Falcons in this game.
