If the Atlanta Falcons manage a week one upset win over the New Orleans Saints it will be one of the more impressive wins of the last half-decade. The Saints are headed into this game with the better roster on both sides of the ball with the Falcons searching for positional advantages.

Atlanta’s path to winning this game is simple their starters must have career days and Arthur Smith has to clearly be the better coach on the sideline. Dennis Allen was fired in his third season as a head coach with the Raiders piling up a dismal 8-28 record.

While Arthur Smith is unproven in one season he already has seven wins just one behind a coach that was given two full seasons and was fired four games into his third season. Outside of the rosters, Atlanta fans have reason to believe they have a big advantage when it comes to their head coach.

Smith has shown he can get the most out of a bad roster helping lead the Falcons to seven wins last season despite having very little talent. For Atlanta to win this game, however, it is going to take big games from three players in particular. If these players don’t deliver on Sunday the Falcons have zero help of winning this matchup.
