3. Kyle Pitts

In last season’s loss to the Saints, Kyle Pitts finished the game with only 8-yards on two catches in what was arguably his worst game of the season. In Atlanta’s lone win against the Saints Pitts had 62-receiving yards and alongside Cordarrelle Patterson was a huge reason the Falcons were able to steal a win against a superior roster.

For that to happen again in week one this season Kyle Pitts is going to have to surpass last season’s best game against the Saints and it can’t be particularly close. Pitts needs to be the game wrecker he is more than capable of going over 100-receiving yards being Marcus Mariota’s consistent security blanket.

Mariota’s willingness to put the ball up deep leaves no question as to whether or not Kyle Pitts is going to receive a chance in this game. The question is how many of them can he convert? In his second season, Pitts is going to take a huge step forward and that must start against Atlanta’s hated division rival. Without a big game from Pitts, the Falcons aren’t going to win this game and it won’t be close.
