3 Top prospects the Atlanta Falcons should be scouting closely today
By Nick Halden
3. Myles Murphy
If you have watched Clemson in their first game this season or anytime last year you know this is a Clemson team that now relies almost completely on the defense. They were unable to put away a bad Georgia Tech team for three quarters relying on their defense to keep them in the game and make plays until they figured it out late.
The heart of the middle of the Clemson defense is Myles Murphy. While Murphy might not be as exciting as Jalen Carter he is a great prospect that perfectly fits what Atlanta needs if the Falcons have a better season than expected. Murphy seems likely to be drafted outside the top five and could be a great addition if the Falcons do take a step forward this season.
His power and speed are perfectly going to translate to the next level and would give Grady Jarrett and the defensive line the boost they needed as well. Murphy’s ability is outside the stats he impacts the game even when he isn’t piling up tackles or sacks. His ability to impact the quarterback by creating pressure himself or demanding attention and allowing others to get home speaks to his elite ability and the success he will have at the next level.
