The Atlanta Falcons dropped to 0-1 on the season losing to the New Orleans Saints at home in a game that should have been Atlanta’s. The 16-point 4th quarter collapse was predictable for a team that seems unable to make the right decisions to hold onto a lead late ever since their infamous Super Bowl collapse.

What makes being an Atlanta Falcons fan so tough isn’t how terrible the team has been over the last half-decade. Watching a bad football team is never fun what is worse, however, is when the said team consistently jumps out to huge leads only to invent new ways to collapse in the final quarter. This has been the story for Atlanta for far too long and the hope that this narrative would change under Arthur Smith is at a new low after Atlanta’s week one collapse.

While there is plenty of blame to go around in why the Falcons let this game slip away there are four names in particular that cost Atlanta the chance at a victory.
