Week one is in the books and with it another Atlanta Falcons late game collapse. Plenty of stats have floated around this week after Atlanta’s loss including the obligatory Super Bowl memes that will seemingly haunt Atlanta for the rest of time.

Atlanta’s focus has shifted to week two as they go on the road to take on the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. While it is being viewed as a decidedly one-sided game it is worth noting that watching back the Bills vs. Rams week one game the Rams have real problems aside from how great the Bills appeared to be.

However, many Atlanta Falcons fans will be looking for a week two escape from the pain their team continually hands them. Watching well-coached and capable teams serves as a reminder of what the Falcons have been and how fun the game can be to watch when your team doesn’t invent ways to lose. It would be far better if Atlanta never had the lead in the first place and could be written off as a rebuilding team instead the team continually surprises giving its fans hope only to snatch it back at the last possible moment.

Atlanta fans that need a break from this exercise shouldn’t be faulted and should start by tuning into tonight’s Thursday night matchup.
