One of the few benefits the Atlanta Falcons will have heading into week two against the Rams is the unknown. They have a roster full of unproven players who could drastically swing this game in either direction. Sure Cordarrelle Patterson, Grady Jarrett, A.J. Terrell, and a few key veterans are known commodities for the Falcons.

However, the vast majority of this roster is unproven players looking to carve a role for themselves in Atlanta’s future. While this won’t necessarily work in Atlanta’s favor on Sunday it certainly has a chance to give them an advantage.

The Rams are the team under the most pressure in this game as the defending Super Bowl champs. No one expected Atlanta to compete in week one against the Saints much less against a Rams team looking to bounce back from a week one loss.

Atlanta is a team that is expected to compete for the top pick in the draft, not a team that is expected to beat the reigning champs on the road. All of the pressure in this game is on Matthew Stafford and the offense to step up and deliver against what is expected to be one of the worst teams in football.

However, this is far from the mentality Arthur Smith and the Falcons have displayed giving them a chance to surprise the Rams in week two starting with three Falcons in particular.
