To say the Atlanta Falcons are underdogs heading into week two would be a vast understatement. The Rams are not only expected to win against the Falcons but win in easy blowout fashion reestablishing themselves as contenders in the NFC. They are facing a lot of questions after their blowout loss to the Bills and have had extra time to prepare for the Falcons after playing on Thursday.

All of this to even the most ardent Atlanta Falcons fan points to a loss on Sunday. Los Angeles has the better roster and a more proven coach coming off of arguably the worst game of his career. Arthur Smith’s team shouldn’t be discounted, however, after collapsing late against their hated division rival.

While they lack the same talent as New Orleans there is an argument to be made they will be just as motivated and ready to change the narrative in week two. All Atlanta needs to do, however, to change the outlook on them as a team is be competitive in this game and play through all four quarters and keep the Rams close. If they can do that this game will be considered a step in the right direction regardless of the outcome.

For the Falcons to pull off the unlikely upset a lot must fall their way including three things that we watched in week one.
