3 Things the Atlanta Falcons learned in week two loss to Rams

The Atlanta Falcons dropped to 0-2 on the season with a 31-27 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on the road. At first glance, the score is impressive when you compare rosters and consider just how motivated the Rams were after dropping the season opener as defending Super Bowl champs. However, what made this game infuriating for Atlanta fans if the fact that yet again the team managed to give them hope only to snatch a defeat late.
Watching the Atlanta Falcons is usually painful due to the team letting large leads slip away late. This time, however, the Falcons switched it up falling behind 28-3 before a late surge gave the team the ball down a touchdown with the chance to pull off the ultimate upset.
Unsurprisingly Atlanta was unable to capitalize and found a new way to torment a miserable Atlanta fanbase. The comeback was impressive even if it fell short and there were positive takeaways for Atlanta even if they came in yet another loss.
The glass half full fan would point out that the Falcons crept back into a game they had no business being in due to positive developments on both sides of the ball. With this in mind, let’s break down the top three takeaways from Sunday’s road loss.
