The Atlanta Falcons are 0-2 on the season after dropping a game on the road to the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. After an ugly start, the Falcons had what would have been an all-time improbable comeback cutting the lead to six points and having the ball deep inside Rams territory with a chance to go ahead.

Mariota’s poor decision-making cost Atlanta and ended the drive with a Jalen Ramsey interception ending the comeback bid and pushing Atlanta’s focus to week three against the Seahawks.

Seattle is by far one of Atlanta’s most winnable games on the schedule. The Seahawks have a veteran bridge quarterback in Geno Smith and have shown the ball can be moved on their defense. The problem for Atlanta is going to be if Mariota can be accurate and avoid the turnovers he suffered against the Rams.

If Mariota can do that the Falcons will have a great chance at getting their first win on the season and keeping hope alive that the season isn’t over just yet. The Falcons showed they aren’t the same team last season that would have let go of the rope and gotten blown out against the superior team. The fight they showed points to the fact that this team is going to consistently surprise teams this season leading to our first Atlanta Falcon whose stock is pointed in the right direction after week two.
