3 Reasons to believe the Atlanta Falcons will beat Seattle

3. Arthur Smith

Smith’s press conferences early on this season have made one thing clear, he is listening to what the media is saying about Atlanta and he doesn’t appreciate it. Whether it is just coach speak or genuine belief in this team is impossible to answer. What is obvious, however, is if he is going to back up his belief that this Atlanta team is going to be relevant this season it has to start in week three against Seattle.

There are still very winnable games on the Atlanta schedule starting with Seattle this week. Losing this week against the Seahawks ends Atlanta’s postseason hopes considering an 0-3 start while still having to play Tampa twice spells out a top-five pick for Atlanta.

Smith’s Falcons must win this game and he knows that and will coach it as such. For Seattle, sitting at 1-1 with a proven head coach this game is less meaningful both for their outlook and what is thought of their head coach. Smith needs to find a way to win this game and keep hope alive in Atlanta.
