1. DK Metcalf

So far, DK Metcalf has 11 receptions for 71 yards receiving and zero touchdowns in 2022. It’s important to note that he had one touchdown at this point in the season in 2021. Mind you Geno Smith is no Russell Wilson but getting number 14 involved in this offense is key for Seattle. That being said, it will be interesting to see who lines up across from Metcalf for Atlanta. Cornerback A.J. Terrell comes in at six-foot-one, 195 pounds while Casey Hayward is five-foot-11, 192 pounds. In this case, Terrell will likely get the assignment on Metcalf.

The reality is that the Falcons’ defense is still giving up yards as they rank 22nd in the NFL passing defense, allowing 253 yards per game. In reality, it seems that defensive coordinator Dean Pees will have to find ways to keep Metcalf in check. Metcalf has faced the Falcons twice in his young career, scoring two touchdowns while having seven receptions and 108 receiving yards.

It wouldn’t come as the biggest shock to see Pees use a linebacker or safety to spy on the Seattle wideout. Without question, Metcalf feels due for a big game and we’ll see how the Falcons approach him in coverage.
