3 Top prospects the Atlanta Falcons should be scouting in week 4
By Nick Halden
1. C.J. Stroud
While the Atlanta Falcons appear to believe in Desmond Ridder there is never any harm in scouting the year’s top quarterback prospects and that should certainly be the case with C.J. Stroud. While the Ohio State quarterback will hardly be tested next weekend against Rutgers there is plenty of reason to still pay close attention to a quarterback who has an argument as the first player off the board next off-season.
He has great mobility and consistently pushes the ball down the field. His size and pro-style make him a safer pick than Bryce Young, though Young arguably has the higher upside. Young’s size should be a concern for the Falcons who should carefully scout both quarterbacks but lean towards Stroud.
C.J. has benefitted from a great group of Ohio State receivers but his arm talent and ability to make plays off schedule point to his own ability that will help make him a success at the next level.
